The Royal Concertgebouw is one of Amsterdam's most prominent musical landmarks. The beautiful building was opened in 1888 and has since then formed the home ground of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Apart from classical music, it has hosted gigs ranging from jazz-legend Chet Baker to Amsterdam icon André Hazes.
Unfortunately, due to its elitist stigma, the Royal Concertgebouw saw its audience age. To counter this they now offer attractive discounts in the form of an Entrée-membership, available for everyone under 35. Entrée moreover grants you the possibility to "sprint": if the concert is not sold out 8 hours before it starts you can get any seat for €12,50. This way a beautiful concert can be enjoyed by all, leaving you with enough money to hit the club afterwards.
[This Saturday (09/12) the RCO plays Sibelius' 2nd symphony, an absolute beauty]
[Entrée-discount up to 75%, free concert and a +1 if you sign up]
